Snake Island

Snake Island is also called “Sunken Island” and “Cervera Shoal”. It is a 30 minute journey by boat. You will find schools of fish starting at around 10m below surface. The reef itself has a flat top with many coral heads and giant barrel sponges on it.

The reef wall slopes down to depths beyond recreational limits. There is often a strong current. Look out for black and white banded sea snakes, moray eels, giant frogfish, schools of big mouth mackerels, surgeon fish and Spanish mackerel.
