As the National Capital Region (NCR) and its neighboring provinces shift to a less stringent Modified Enhanced Community Quarantine (MECQ), 2GO Travel, the Philippines’ largest premier sea travel provider, endeavors to make inter island travel possible for essential travelers via nonstop voyages to all ports of call in the country.
“2GO Travel never really ceased operating voyages since the start of the pandemic. We have always been here to support our fellow Filipino people, either to ferry stranded locals home or to bring essential travelers to any part of the country, where they can fulfill their respective roles and responsibilities in this time of crisis,” 2GO Assistant Vice President of Marketing Blessie Cruz said in a statement.
Only health and emergency frontline services personnel, government officials and government frontline personnel, duly authorized humanitarian assistance actors, persons traveling for medical or humanitarian reasons, OFWs leaving for work abroad, and ROFs, and anyone crossing zones for work or business or going back home are allowed in and out of Metro Manila, Bulacan, Cavite, Laguna, and Rizal or the “NCR Plus” bubble until April 30, 2021.
Meanwhile, non-essential travel will commence on May 1, 2021. In the event that there are changes in travel guidelines on May 1st onwards, 2GO Travel extends free unlimited rebooking of tickets; therefore, our passengers can rebook their tickets without penalties, Cruz concluded.
Saliva RT-PCR Test is now accepted in Bacolod, Caticlan, Coron, Iligan, Puerto Princesa, Roxas, Zamboanga and in the provinces of Negros and Palawan.
When traveling with 2GO, all passengers are required to wear personal protective equipment and to practice social distancing from check-in, boarding, and disembarkation. Frequent handwashing is also highly encouraged to prevent the spread of COVID-19.
