El Nido is a town in the province of Palawan that is considered first class. It is well-managed and protected. Despite the best beaches in this island that may be compared to those in Puerto Princesa, it isn’t considered the capital of Palawan because the area of the province is smaller compared to the capital. El Nido is declared to be the one of the top destinations in the Philippines because of its splendid beaches and well-protected vicinity. El Nido boasts its turtle sanctuary that has been sheltered since 1984 and was expanded in 1991.
El Nido has a lot to offer and a few days wouldn’t be enough for you to experience all the fascinating attractions of the province from the 100 white sand beaches, rich marine life, mangrove forest, enchanting cliffs and lagoons, caves, and lakes. Vacationing in El Nido would be the highlight of your summer because the activities and happenings you will be experiencing in the province can never be compared to anything else. There are a few beaches and caves in El Nido that are well commended by several travelers.
The first is Bacuit Bay which is the clearest bay in the country. The sea is filled with marine creatures including turtles, coral reefs, manta rays, and dugongs. The second is Dilumucad Island which is perfect family and big group outings because the wide-stretched sand is an amazing venue for picnic lunches. Third is Vigan Island also known as Snake Island because of the natural sandpit found on its shores. The sandpit is very visible during low tide and some shallow areas of the island may be explored through water activities such as snorkeling and swimming. You may also visit the Aberawan River where tourists can see a long trail of mangroves and take a dip on the refreshing water and take photos around the area.
