The MABUHAY DIVE RESORT, A PADI GOLD PALM RESORT, in Puerto Galera, Sabang, Mindoro, Philippines was newly built in 2002. It is located next to the ocean at the quiet and centrally located Small Lalaguna Beach on the North Coast of Mindoro Island. Within walking distance along the Sea you reach lively Sabang and within minutes by boat you get to Puerto Galera.

The MABUHAY DIVE RESORT is placed in a tropical setting with coconut trees as well as banana- and mango trees on a floor space of 6000 sqm. Besides a solid construction we used a lot of natural and typical materials so that the Resort would fit perfectly and with harmony in the beautiful surrounding.

A professional Dive Resort in a beautiful area together with fantastic underwater scenery allows an unforgettable and varying Dive holiday. The beachfront length of 90 meters, the very well equipped German managed PADI Dive Center, the provision and location meets the highest standards in Puerto Galera.

Room and Accommodation

All 40 rooms are furnished in European style and standard. They all are located around the two pools and in the garden behind the Dive Center, situated in buildings with whether one or two floors. You find AC, Cable TV, Intercom, Fridge, and Marbled Bathroom with hot showers, Toilet, Sofa and Balcony in every room.

The Superior Rooms are located around the big swimming pool; the Standard rooms are around the small pool. The Standard Rooms are a little smaller than the Superior rooms but have almost the same interior. Our silent 24-hour generators will never leave you in the dark.

Facilities

MABUHAY DIVE RESORT is a professional Danish managed dive centre, owned and lead by Alice and Bjorn Askholm. It is located right on the beach and offers of course entire requirements for Divers and Dive Students. 

With a floor space of about 400 sqm, the location and its outfit it meets the highest standards in the Puerto Galera area. In the wet room, with space for 40 divers, each diver has space for his equipment, which will hang and dry over night by the fans.

Our terrace is protected against sun and rain and on the beach right in front of the centre the sun beds are standing ready for a rest between the dives.

The 3 silence compressors are placed behind the dive centre and won't disturb you, when you are sitting on the terrace or in our restaurant. Our cosy classroom is build as a terrace over the restaurant and is with sea view.

We have television, dvd player, computer with internet connection and library up there. The whole dive centre is open friendly and easy accessible to the beach, wet room, restaurant, bar and hotel. Please remember to bring your certificate and logbook.

The stylish and inviting MABUHAY BEACH RESTAURANT with Bar is located right on the beach.
The half open method of its construction offers enough sun and rain protection, as well as a nice sea and pool view. It provides space for about 70 guests.

The International and Asian Cuisine offers among freshly prepared fish or pasta a wide range of different food.
Breakfast or romantic dinner under palms with sea view in a quiet and tropical atmosphere will make all your holiday dreams will come true.

Activities

In cooperation with a water sport-center we offer several water activities for non-divers and interested guests. Why not "flying" along the coasts of Puerto Galera with a high speed Jet Ski? (Allowed only in dive free areas) Or why not try a jump over the waves on water skis? Did you ever try to ride on a "racing banana"? Having fun is permitted!

We regularly offer snorkeling lessons as well as guided snorkeling excursions to quiet bays. Our guests can enjoy the Underwater World even from above. There is a lot to see and discover.

Services

In the Divers Bar with Stereo, TV and in the Lounge on the beach, drinks, shakes and snacks are offered. Drinking water is free of charge.  For the convenience of our Divers there are cold and hot showers, free towels, spacious equipment rooms, dressing rooms, lockers and two separate toilets.

A big covered cleaning and dry area is at your disposal right at the entrance of the Dive Center. Our service crew will prepare your equipment as well as they will transport it to and back from the boat and of course the crew will be there for you to clean the things and take good care of them.

Between the dives there is also a beach-massage-service available. We offer free Internet access with PC or via Wireless LAN with your own Laptop.
