We are the only Eco valley in Puerto Galera with no traffic or night club sounds although Sabang is nearby. Our sari -sari shop sells inexpensive food and drinks and rents snorkel and masks at only P100 per day. Our dormitory has a kitchen with cooking facilities and refrigerator, also 2 bathroom / toilets. There are fans and color cable TV with DVD. Our swimming pool is available free to guests as is our Wi-Fi on your upstairs terrace.

Why Our Mountain is Unique?

Across our waters, over two and a half kilometers high we face Mt Halcon which is the highest mountain in the Philippines, excluding Mt Pulog out of Baguio and the highest Mt Apo in Mindanao, the latter two not readily accessible for easy viewing. On occasions, from our balconies or down on our beach, the clouds part and our guests can see the splendor and majesty of this beautiful mountain. What a life time thrill if the mountain chooses to reveal itself to you!

We are the only beach hostel in Puerto Galera and perhaps the whole of the Philippines where you can easily snorkel only 50 meters to one of the world's best diving locations known as “The Sinandigan Wall.” We hear the waves on the shore and the breeze in our trees and canopies and live in an Eco valley with no traffic or night club noises

Where is Our Location?

Just take a one hour bus ride from Manila to Batangas Port. Then a one hour banca ferry ride to Sabang. Next walk to us for 15 minutes and follow the signs or catch a P20 motorbike to Sinandigan School. Go down the steps and turn left walking for only 100 meters to Tuna Joe Backpacker Hostel on the beach.

We have the only swimming pool in our area with WI-FI internet. All our rooms and mixed dorm have fan and cable TV. 3 of our 5 rooms have aircon. For backpackers, we have a capacity for 14 bunks and 10 on floor mattresses.There are cooking facilities and refrigerator access in all areas. Our 7 bathrooms and 7 showers have 2 with hot water.
