Recipe: Pancit - Shrimp and Noodles

This is another Chinese inspired creation, also spelled pansit, and is another of the Philippine's traditional dishes.
1/2 pound thin noodles, any type4 tablespoons cooking oil1 large onion, finely chopped4 cloves garlic, crushed1 tablespoon grated ginger root4 cups shredded Chinese cabbage2 cups chopped cooked shrimps3 tablespoons soy sauce3 tablespoons oyster sauce2 tablespoons water1/4 teaspoon cayenne1/2 cup chopped green onions
Prepare noodles according to directions on package then set aside but keep warm.
Heat oil in a frying pan then add onion, garlic and ginger. Stir-fry over medium/high heat for 3 minutes, then stir in cabbage, shrimps, soy sauce, oyster sauce, water and cayenne then stir-fry for 3 more minutes.
Place noodles on platter, then spoon frying pan contents over noodles. Garnish with green onions and serve.
