How Filipinas Saved A Town in Japan
It was in April 1998. My father was Ambassador to Japan. My half sister, Lenny, had just died in late February that year, and my father was having a difficult time coping with her death. He asked me and another sister, Bella, to visit him in Tokyo. Despite going through an emotional turmoil, he would not relegate his duties as Ambassador to other staff members. It was a distraction that he accepted willingly.

The Town of Maddela
The town of Maddela is located in the province of Quirino. It is dubbed as the “Commercial Growth Center of Quirino”. It is covered by forests and has an extensive rolling terrain due to the Sierra Madre Mountain Range. The flat terrains are usually found along the Cagayan River. The northern and southern parts are gently sloping to rolling due to the Mamparang Mountain Range.
