Return to Cold Mountain City

Sometimes visiting a place just stirs your senses. It opens your eyes for a moment to endless possibilities you have never imagined before, egging you to chart a course beyond your comfort zone. It dares you to do something unusual — drop everything you’re doing, bust open the stale confines of your prosy life, retrace your steps to that same place and relive everything you’ve done there, something like that. Baguio, the famous summer getaway in northern Philippines, did that to me.

Lake Danao (Leyte)

Lake Danao is a guitar-shaped lake on the island of Leyte in the Philippines. The lake is covering an area of 148 hectares (370 acres). It is situated in the 2,193 hectares (5,420 acres) Lake Danao Natural Park, which also includes the Amandiwin mountain range. The lake is 18 kilometres (11 mi) northeast of Ormoc City, half an hour drive along the San Pablo - Tongonan and Milagro - Lake Danao roads.

Tamaraw Falls and Virgin Island of Oriental Mindoro

White Beach, Puerto Galera is no doubt the best destination when you asked for a tourist spot in Oriental Mindoro. However, it doesn't mean that it is the only tourist destination they have. As Oriental Mindoro houses some of the majestic moutain (one is Mt Halcon), prestine beach water, white sand, and other unspoiled natural beauty. So during our 2 days visit at Puerto Galera, I really compressed our itinerary so that we can be able to see some of their natural resources.
