LEGAZPI CITY (PIA )-- At least 100 GrabTrike units will be fully operational in Legazpi City starting today.
"With a growing daytime population of around 200,000 people, coupled with promising economic potential, we saw Legazpi's need for better mobility, and we are excited to help build a vibrant community in Legazpi through GrabTrike, our community transport solution," Grab Philippines President Brian Cu said.
GrabTrike had its grand launching in Legazpi City on Aug. 24, 10AM at SM Legazpi as announced by the City Tourism Office.
GrabTrike offered free ride from 10AM-7PM on Aug. 23-24.
App Download caravans also rolled in at LCC Mall on Aug. 23 and SM City Legazpi Ground Floor on Aug. 23-24, 2019.
Cu said Grab aims to provide a safer, more efficient and reliable on-demand transportation system in the city by making it easier to book rides that can shorten waiting time while protecting the public against over-charging of fares.
"We are extending better, safer and accessible trips in Legazpi. Our priority is to provide improved ride experience while supporting driver's livelihood and welfare, "he added.
Cu noted GrabTrike as a commute partner of both tourists and the local communities.
