Kitanglad Mountain Range is a mountain range that dominates the northern central portion of the province of Bukidnon. It occupies portions of eight of the municipalities and cities in the province such as Talakag, Baungon, Libona, Manolo Fortich, Impasugong, Lantapan and Malaybalay.

Musuan Peak or Mount Musuan, also known as Mount Calayo is an active volcano in Maramag, Bukidnon, on the island of Mindanao in the Philippines.

Southern Bukidnon is where the Western Bukidnon Manobo reside. Their language has three dialects; Ilentungen, Kiriyenteken, and Pulangiyen.

The Magahats are also known as the Ati-Man and Bukidnon. There are concentrations of Magahats found in southwestern Negros, Santa Catalina, Bayawan, and Siaton in Negros Oriental; and in Negros Occidental. Their language is a mixture of Hiligaynon and Sugbuhanon.

Whenever I hear the place Mindanao and Cagayan de Oro, the first thing that pops on my mind is White Water Rafting. White Water Rafting in this province is claimed to be the main tourist attraction being promoted by the Department of Tourism. Therefore, it is really a must try activity to every tourists, backpackers and specially adventurers who'll visit Cagayan de Oro.

CAGAYAN DE ORO, Philippines – Deep in the forest hills of Malasag EcoPark in Barangay Gusa, lives the last Pangutob tattoo artist of the Tigwahonon Manubo tribe of Bukidnon province. Pangutob is the art of traditional tattoo of the Manubo tribe and there is now only one of these artists who is alive and still actively practicing the art of storytelling using the human body as canvas.

The Bukidnon plateau is home to seven of the 18 different indigenous groups found in Mindanao. After doing some research I decided it would be a great place to visit for starting the Katutubong Filipino Project. Although our travel to Bukidnon was fairly short we learned a lot about the Lumad people (the Visayan word collectively used for all indigenous people in Mindanao).
