In Photos: Bantayan Airport Project Now 50% Complete
Ongoing works at the Bantayan Airport on Banyatan Island is on track and may even be finished ahead of its December 2020 target completion, according to Mactan-Cebu International Airport Authority (MCIAA) General Manager Steve Dicdican. He said that the airport project is now 50 percent complete.

The Municipality of Bantayan, one of the three towns on Bantayan Island, has declared June 30 of every year as Bantayan Day. Bantayan Day is a state-centered special holiday that is separate from the religious feast days traditionally observed by the town for its patrons, Saints Peter and Paul, every June 28 and 29.

Summer is synonymous to a getaway especially if you’re in Cebu. The original plan was Kalanggaman Island in Palompon, Leyte then circumstances brought it to Camotes Island, and then changed to Bantayan Island. We really have a lot of options. Around 2 in the morning, we were the only group messing inside a bus bound to Hagnaya Port, the gateway to Bantayan Island. It was a non-aircon bus so you can blame us for having no motivation to sleep.
