Celebrating Sinulog, Devotees’ Faith in the Santo Niño

Cebu is known for its grand Sinulog Festival. Every January, the whole province honors the Santo Niño or the child Jesus. Millions of locals and tourists join the colorful and lively celebration that features fun-filled activities. During the day, the streets are packed with participants dressed in vibrant costumes who are dancing to the loud rhythm of the drums, trumpets and gongs. Sinulog Festival Fluvial Parade

Last year, the last novena mass and procession were ticked off on my list of things to do during Sinulog Festival. Fluvial parade, on the other hand, wasn’t realized as I wasn’t able to search on how can I get access to the boats joining the parade on sea. This year, with an invite from a workmate, the plan of joining one of the most attended Sinulog events was accomplished.
