Investments in renewable energy in the Philippines just got a boost, with the inauguration of a 160-MW wind farm in Pagudpud, Ilocos Norte on Friday. ACEN Corp’s 34 wind power generators in the area, built at the cost of Php11.8 billion (about $211-million), is currently the Philippines’ biggest wind farm.

The Masadiit Itneg reside in Sallapadan, Bucloc, and Boliney. The Masadiits are probably among earliest inhabitants of Abra. The Masadiit Itneg language has a 70% lexical similarity with Guinaang Kalinga, and has words in common with the Besao and Sagada of Mountain Province.

It is adjacent to the spectacular Malacanañg ti Amianan. The area is stated as the as a National Park on June 21, 1969 under Republic Act 5631. The site is a home of almost 77 species of common, endangered, and nomadic birds.
