160MW: Philippines' Biggest Wind Farm Rises
Investments in renewable energy in the Philippines just got a boost, with the inauguration of a 160-MW wind farm in Pagudpud, Ilocos Norte on Friday. ACEN Corp’s 34 wind power generators in the area, built at the cost of Php11.8 billion (about $211-million), is currently the Philippines’ biggest wind farm.

The Masadiit Itneg reside in Sallapadan, Bucloc, and Boliney. The Masadiits are probably among earliest inhabitants of Abra. The Masadiit Itneg language has a 70% lexical similarity with Guinaang Kalinga, and has words in common with the Besao and Sagada of Mountain Province.

The other names of the Maeng Itnegs are Luba-Tiempo Itnegs and Southern Itnegs. The majority live in the towns of Tubo, Luba, and Villaviciosa. Theirs is the only Itneg language that is similar to Northern Kankanaey, a Mountain Province language.

Paoay Lake National Park: A Place That Can't Resist Its Beauty
The Paoay National Park is located in Ilocos Norte, 3 kilometers away from the sea. It is a huge area in the province, measuring 470 hectares, that is bordered by 5 barangays. It is adjacent to the spectacular Malacanañg ti Amianan. The area is stated as the as a National Park on June 21, 1969 under Republic Act 5631. The site is a home of almost 77 species of common, endangered, and nomadic birds.
